The Ayubaba Standard

How Engineering Verification Works

Every product listed on Ayubaba undergoes the same rigorous process, carried out by a qualified electronics engineer — not an algorithm, not a tick-box exercise.

Step 1

Physical Engineering Assessment

Each product is assessed hands-on by a trained engineer using calibrated diagnostic tools. Condition, functionality, provenance, and safety. Nothing assumed from listed specs — every check is independently conducted.

  • Condition grading against standardised criteria
  • Functional testing of all key features
  • Wi-Fi and connectivity verification
  • IMEI check vs. National Stolen Property Database
  • Physical safety and structural integrity
  • Water damage indicator inspection

Step 2

Verification Record Generation

Assessment results are logged into the Ayubaba Verification System (EVS). A unique EVS ID is generated and a tamper-proof PDF Verification Record is created — including pass/fail/advisory results, engineer notes, and provenance documentation.

  • Unique EVS ID assigned per product
  • Provenance source documented
  • Data wipe certification (BS EN 15713)
  • Condition grade assigned
  • Advisory notes recorded and disclosed
  • PDF Verification Record generated

Step 3

Verified Listing

Only products that achieve a Verified Pass are listed for sale. The complete Verification Record is published on every product page — so you can see exactly what was assessed and what the results were, before you buy.

  • Verified Pass required to list
  • Full record on every product page
  • Condition grade prominently displayed
  • Advisory notes clearly disclosed
  • Pricing reflects verified condition
  • 30-day return guarantee
